Is it sad that I couldnt voice my true opinion that my local grocery store’s clerks are consistently shitty about packing the groceries (really all the cans and the diet dr pepper in one bag?)? Why couldnt I say anything? Because theyre following me on tumblr and twitter.
So now Im being passive aggressive. You know who you are grocery store, have a seminar on proper bag packing with your ladies.
In this post local grocery store = us. We will talk to our cashiers about paying more attention when bagging the groceries. They tend to rush and pay less atention when there is a line, which should not happen.
We apologize, it sucks lugging heavy groceries for several blocks. Also, remember you can have you groceries delivered back to your place for $1 (up until 8pm).
PS no need to be passive aggressive. All feedback is good feedback!

johnnybagel thanks for the shoutout & the feedback. Space is limited in our store but we are actually looking into changing the delivery times to help reduce congestion. In the meantime Mondays & Thursdays are the big delivery days, so avoid those days if you really want to avoid the boxes.
Please email us & let us know what items you find cheaper at Key Food, and we see if something can be done (currently we are significantly cheaper than them on milk, eggs & some other staples…)
The cashier you were talking about is Elsa, she is a great girl and has worked here for a long time!

Hey, brands attempting failing social media, look what C-Town did!
A year ago, Neighborhoodr’s Williamsburg blog made us aware of our grocery store’s tumblr presense, a blog titled, “C-Town is tumbling?! Really?? YUP!!!”
At first we were laughing at C-Town, but once they started incorporating internet jokes into their promotions, actually participating in our #Zuckershop forced meme, we were laughing with them (and shopping there more often, too).
BUT THIS TAKES THE CAKE.
The manager, knowing that I am from Pittsburgh, tweeted at me to let me know that they had filled a request for Iron City Beer, and that I should come in and grab some. Even though he’s rooting for the Jets today, he thought I deserved my hometown’s beer of choice for the AFC Championship. And for that, I think they deserve some kind of awesome internet award.
Respect, C-Town. Respect.
The BRTE guys are the best. This post almost makes up for that Jets loss… Almost.
